SpiritHalloween.com is not just one of my affiliates, it’s also one of my favorite places to shop for Halloween. If I was more handy like so many of you, I’d make more of my decorations and costumes. But since I’m not, I’m thankful for Spirit because I love their selection, prices, and Spirit exclusives.

Last Halloween I had an idea for a funny Halloween display. I never got to put it all up though. (I only managed to get the
Haunted Real Estate Sign up, which I got from another of my affiliates/fave places to shop, Halloween Express.)

But this year, I’m doing it. I only need to get some pumpkins and perhaps a scarecrow or two. In fact, I found one on Spirit that’s a great price (only $12.99) and perfect for my needs.

3 foot Hanging Scarecrow

Even better, I got an email about how today Spirit’s doing a Wicked Wednesday one day only free shipping thing. (Ironically, the checkout code is Scarecrow. I’m taking it as a sign. After all, October 1 –or my date when I shoot to have Halloween decorations out– is almost here!)

So I’m going to order that scarecrow, and perhaps a couple of other things to enliven my yard this Halloween.

For instance, I think I could work this Zombie Gnome Figurine into the display I want to put together.

I could probably put this 20 foot Skull Bunting Decor to use on the front porch and back deck and do an almost 360 degree display.

I can for sure incorporate this Pumpkin Patch Fence into my Halloween decoration scheme.

I’ve always loved the 3 piece Ghostly Group Lawn Decor.

However, this year I saw two new “groups”: 3 piece Lawn Witch Decor (Their faces are wicked looking! Love ’em!) and Set of 3 Grim Reaper Path Markers (Don’t know why, but they remind me of a macabre version of Oompa Loompas).

The witches are particularly tempting, but I may finally give in and go with the ghost one this year. I think it would fit better with the display I’m trying to pull together.

What I’m most psyched about discovering that Spirit sells, and which I’ve wanted almost as long as the ghost group, is Halloween-themed luminaries. They have both electric and regular (a.k.a. the candle kind) ones. The trouble will be deciding which ones to get:

Flame Resistant Happy Halloween Luminary Bags

Electric Jack O’ Lantern Luminary Kit (They also sell Flame Resistant Jack O Lantern Luminary Bags.)

Killer Pumpkin Diecut Luminaries

Wicked Witch Die-Cut Luminaries

Saw Luminaries Set

And then there are the costumes…. Oh man, they have some great ones out this year. If the Halloween cruise had happened, I would’ve saved my money and just used my pirate costume again.

If I didn’t indulge in sweets as much as I do and had a cute little figure, I’d go for one of the following:

Steampunk Victorian Lady Adult Women’s Costume

Royal Rendezvous Adult Womens Costume

Saloon Sweetie Red & Black Adult Women’s Costume

Saloon Madame Adult Women’s Costume (I’m drawn to the hat on this one. They have a Saloon Madame Adult Women’s Plus Size Costume –a.k.a. they have it in my size. But the skirt is too short. I can’t pull that off with my legs. Bummer.)

YOU MAY ALSO LIKE:  Will the Monster Inside doc end up costing Hulu $8.4M?

Lady of the Manor Adult Women’s Costume (Since I’m doing a haunted house kind of theme, this costume would be most apropos. Also, I like the sort of Gothic/Steampunk vibe about it. Alas, they don’t make it in my size. Nuts!)

Skelly Von Trap Adult Women’s Costume (I’ve never dressed up as anything scary or macabre. This one looks kind of fun.)

Mrs. Gnome Adult Womens Costume

50s House Wife Adult Women’s Costume (This would be a great costume for what I have in mind for the out front Halloween decor. Great clash of this coiffed costume meets the macabre mayhem out front.)

Mayan Queen Adult Women’s Costume (The sizing issue isn’t the only thing that would prevent me from getting this costume. The price is high too: $149!)

The next few you may notice a definite theme in what I’m drawn to. Love that Steampunk is so big for Halloween this year!

Widow Maker Victorian Style Adult Women’s Costume

Steampunk Sally Adult Women’s Costume

Steampunk Renegade Adult Women’s Costume

Gothic Rose Adult Womens Costume

Even though they have a decent selection of Plus Size Halloween costumes, none really make my heart race. (Why couldn’t they make any of the Steampunk ones for Plus Sized girls?), I’m probably just going to re-use one of my old Halloween costumes. Or try to find something at the Goodwill to put together a 50s housewife kind of thing to go with my decor idea. (Or a Steampunk getup, if I can finagle it!)

But for sure I’m buying my Halloween decorations from SpiritHalloween.com.

If you need any Halloween stuff, you might want to consider shopping today and taking advantage of their Wicked Wednesday one day only free shipping deal. I am!
