Today is the day I promised I’d announce winners of the 6th Anniversary Celebration Book Giveaway. So that’s what I’m here to do: let you know who won and what prizes they picked.
I also had an exclusive contest for newsletter subscribers, as mentioned on the Contest & Giveaways page. I failed to specify a date I’d draw the winning name in the newsletter, so I went ahead and picked that winner today too. Congratulations to Crystal who will receive an autographed copy of my newest book, The Ghost of Laurie Floyd, a $25 Amazon gift card, and a Haunt Jaunts bracelet personalized with her initials.
Here are the winners of the Book Giveaway:
- Daphne who opted for copies of all the books offered. Smart lady.
- Barry, who flattered me by enthusiastically picking my book as his prize if his name was drawn.
- Sheila, who said she’d be flattered to win any type of book so I guess she’ll get them all!
In case you were wondering how winners were drawn…they were assigned a number based upon when their entry was received. For instance, Daphne was the third to enter the contest, so she was assigned the number 3. Barry was fifth, so he got 5, and so on. I then used Random.org’s True Random Number Generator to pick numbers based on how many entries there were.
I did this for the exclusive newsletter giveaway too. Normally I like to pop everyone’s name in the Boo Bucket to make picks, but I decided to be lazy and let a computer have the fun of choosing.
I can’t thank everyone enough for their enthusiastic response. This was one of the most entered contests yet!
Stay tuned…one more anniversary celebration contest coming. A Halfway to Halloween giveaway featuring merchandise from our affiliates. So if you like Halloween, specifically decorating for Halloween, you’ll want to check this contest out too!
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
