Zak Bagans’ Haunted Museum hopped on the COVID-19 closure bandwagon this week, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The New Addition

Plans to expand his haunted empire with the construction of an additional building on his property will go forward. It will allow room for additional exhibits and a bigger gift shop.

New addition to Zak Bagans Haunted Museum under construction
While we waited in line for the museum to open, I snapped this pic of the construction on the new portion of Zak’s Haunted Museum.

Although, I’m not sure how much work will continue getting done right now. I know Las Vegas closed casinos and hotels, but is construction halted too? Or, if it’s not yet, will it be soon?

However, the grand opening of the expansion will be something to look forward to when life gets back to normal.

Because life will get back to normal. One day. No one can predict when, but if we keep pulling together and social distancing, we’re going to conquer this sooner rather than later.

Until this passes, however, we can keep our spirits up and anticipate all the good and exciting things to come.

Not that some people might find Zak’s Haunted Museum exciting, but it really is. I don’t count myself among his biggest fans. I think he’s a bit of a paranormal parody and joke nowadays.

However, he is a showman and his museum really is well done. Even though I’m not a fan of Vegas, I am curious to see what the new addition will hold and how they’ll incorporate that into the tour. I’ll have to go back once it’s open and we can travel safely again. (Even if only for a quick overnight trip!)

Virtual Tour?

I’m also hoping Zak might consider doing what the Winchester Mystery House did and create some sort of virtual video tour for fans to enjoy during this tough time. It would be even better if he further followed their lead and made it free.

If I see anything like that, I’ll shout. Or if you do, you shout and let me know!

Until then, stay safe out there, Intrepid Readers!

  1. Well, I can’t say I’m surprised. Businesses are temporarily closing everywhere. I pray things get better before they get worse.

Apologies for such a delayed reply. I’m with you. Prayers things get better, but man… every day seems to bring more dread. Which is why I’m delayed in replying/reading your posts…I was already behind but then I had a couple down days last week where I just tuned out and needed to regroup. Got my head back in the game now!
