This Halloween season Zak Bagans is offering unprecedented access to his museum with Haunted Museum flashlight tours and a ghost hunting experience. The Late Night Flashlight Ghost Tour Experience will allow 20 people free-reign of the museum after hours in total darkness for one and a half hours.

Zak and his Ghost Adventures team have investigated the mansion and its haunted artifacts numerous times, but only special celebrity guests have ever joined them. That’s about to change.

Not that Zak will be investigating with guests too. He might be busy promoting his Travel Channel Ghostober shows, like his new episodes of Ghost Adventures and his new special, Ghost Adventures: Horror at Joe Exotic Zoo.

However, sometimes he does show up and surprise visitors going on regular tours of the museum so maybe he’ll do that for this too? I’m sure social media will be abuzz if that happens.

For now, let’s look at how the Haunted Museum flashlight tours and ghost hunt will work.

Divided Up

The 20 guests will be divided into two groups of 10 and placed in separate halves of the museum.

They’ll have 45 minutes to investigate as much as they can before swapping sides.

Equipment Cans and Cant’s

Just like on regular tours, photos and videos are not allowed.

Certain ghost hunting equipment is allowed though, including:

  • Audio recorders
  • EMF meters
  • K2 meters
  • Spirit boxes

The spirit boxes was a bit shocking to see, but they will only be allowed in rooms with the door shut and turned to a low volume.

There will also be complimentary ghost hunting equipment available to borrow.

Commemorative Flashlight

A commemorative Haunted Museum engraved flashlight comes included with the ticket price.

Cost

A regular trip to the museum isn’t cheap (General Admission is $48 and a RIP All Access upgrade is $79), so if you were expecting after-hours access to cost a bit, you’re right. It’s $199 per person.

They do recommend taking one of those other tours, though, to familiarize yourself with the museum’s haunted hot spots.

COVID-19 Considerations

Masks that cover over the nose and under the chin are required to be worn at all times in the museum.

With only 20 people divided into two groups of 10, social distancing shouldn’t be too hard to accomplish either.

They don’t allow large bags, food or drink in the museum, but if you do have an oversize bag that needs to be checked they have an area to do that. They’re asking people to refrain from that though to limit direct contact between guests and staff.
